Ignore the speed limits as Antigraviator gets ready for an Xbox One, PS4 and PC 2018 release

-

Fast paced anti-gravity racing is nothing new but indie developers Cybernetic Walrus and Iceberg Interactive are threatening to take it to new heights with the release of Antigraviator.

Powered by Unity and due for a simultaneous arrival on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2018, Antigraviator is a sleek new take on the anti-gravity racing genre. Coming complete with traps, power-ups and boosts, you’ll be given the opportunity to overtake your opponents and dominate the track – all with no speed limit holding you back.

Aiming to deliver the fastest racing experience out there, racing in the year 2210 has evolved far beyond its expected limits. New terraforming capabilities have been paired with scientific breakthroughs and this has allowed for the birth of a new spectacle: the Antigraviator tournament.

You’ll get the chance to race on exquisitely detailed stages, that are full of light-speed danger, chaos and mayhem, with three different game modes, four worlds and 12 tracks bringing the dynamic courses to life. Players can challenge their friends in the fiercely competitive multiplayer modes – either online or in split-screen mode, whilst solo players will be able to race to the top of the worldwide leaderboard and earn special ranked skins.

Sabotage is all part and parcel of the game and you can put a spanner in the works of fellow racers by activating hover mines, damaging the environment to create a rockslide, causing tunnels to collapse, firing missiles from rocket launchers along the track and many more fiendish tricks.

Your Gravs are hugely customisable too, but you will need to choose wisely as deciding on one upgrade may mean compromising on another. Strategy is a key component in making your tailor-make Grav good enough to gain the upper hand in races – or face the crushing prospect of defeat. In addition to the customisation options, unlockable skins will be available free of charge.

In this futuristic high-octane racing game, defying gravity is the least of your concerns.

“With Iceberg Interactive on board as publisher of our first game, Cybernetic Walrus is getting its big tusks.” says Mike Coeck, managing director at Cybernetic Walrus.

Erik Schreuder, CEO of Iceberg Interactive, adds: “We’re huge science-fiction fans, as you might have guessed from our portfolio. A futuristic racing game definitely fits the bill for us and we couldn’t be more excited to publish Antigraviator.”

Key Features include:

  • No speed limit!
  • Play the single player campaign to unlock new parts, ships and skins
  • Race your friends with local split-screen multiplayer for up to 4 players
  • Race anybody in online multiplayer mode with rankings and leaderboards
  • Use environmental traps to overtake your opponents
  • Power-ups and boosts allow you to become top of the track
  • Ship customization gives you an edge over the opposition
  • Four beautifully created sci-fi worlds with three dynamic courses each
  • Stunning realistic 3D graphics powered by the Unity Engine
  • Soundtrack featuring 12 intense tracks that will enhance your racing experience

So what do you think? Will you be heading in to the wonderful racing world of Antigraviator when it drops onto Xbox One, PS4 and PC? Let us know in those comments.
