We’ve recently been very impressed with a hands on play of Soul Axiom and so the news that the devs behind that, Wales Interactive, are bringing their sci-fi action runner to Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U is a good one.

Set aboard The Infinity, the largest spaceship ever built by mankind and flung into the void of space to secure humanity a new home amongst the stars, the inhabitants of the ship find a door to a long forgotten nightmare. Infinity Runner sees a prisoner desperately trying to escape both the old crumbling ship and the clutches of the terror hidden deep within.

Dealing with things from a first person perspective, you’ll get the chance to play as the prisoner as you try to escape The Infinity. Using both parkour and mixed martial arts, you’ll need to cope with the constant changing and expansive surroundings. There will also be the inclusion of combat sections in which a dynamic targeting system calls for lightning fast reflexes

Infinity Runner promises to pack the lot into one super slick, sci-fi action game and with it reinvents the running genre.

“We’re thrilled to be releasing not just our first, but Wales’ very first PS4 and Xbox One title, Infinity Runner! This is our best version of the game yet with improved visuals, better gameplay and a reduced price from the current PC version.” – Ben Tester, Wales Interactive.

Releasing at the bargain price of £4.99/$6.99/€6.99, you should expect Infinity Runner to hit Xbox One and PS4 on April 22nd 2015. The Wii U version is still to have a confirmed date.

Check out the original PC launch trailer below. Looks pretty interesting!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
