Previously enjoyed the artstyle and vibe of Japanese graphic adventures? Evan’s Remains is most certainly a game for you, as it launches on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Coming from the one man team of Matías Schmied, Evan’s Remains has been brought to console and PC via those at Whitethorn Digital, providing gamers with the opportunity to embark on a mysterious thriller in which your sole goal is to find a missing boy – Evan.

Priced at just £5.79, Evan’s Remains delivers a world full of logic-based platform puzzles, pushed along by a story that tells of your search of Evan. This has all been inspired by the brilliant Japanese adventures of yesteryear giving chance for you to immerse yourself in the gripping tale, that is played out via the most gorgeous of pixelated visuals.

With no enemies, no sign of failure, and no dreaded ‘Game Over’ present in Evan’sRemains, your time with this adventure will mostly boil down to solving puzzle using deduction; hell, even if your gaming skills are low, you’ll be seen right here.

“Evan’s Remains tries to convey a strong feeling of mystery and to leave the player wondering — just what is really going on here?,” lead developer Matías Schmied said. “Like its inspirations – Ace Attorney, Ghost Trick, Danganronpa, Yume Nikki, and many others – we hope players will feel a profound sense of satisfaction as they slowly piece together the narrative.”
