Operation Overrun is a major new content update (Update 1.18) for the hardcore tactical shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm. Available right now across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this operation delivers a substantial drop of free content alongside new premium cosmetic options.
Into the Forest: Free Content Drop
Operation: Overrun significantly expands the Sandstorm experience for all players with several free additions:
- New Map: Forest: Battle commences on an overgrown, abandoned military base deep within a forest. Featuring a deserted airport, a research station, and decaying equipment, this map offers tense engagements day or night. Use the natural cover to your advantage!
- New Light Machine Guns: Reinforce your firepower with two new LMGs:M250 (Security): A state-of-the-art option for the Security forces.
- H21 (Insurgents): A multipurpose LMG providing sustained fire for the Insurgent side.
- Limited-Time Mode: First Blood: Coinciding with the new LMGs, jump into this frenetic mode where only Light Machine Guns are permitted as primary weapons. Expect hails of bullets and pure chaos!
- Cosmetic Patches: New patches have also been added for further character customisation.
