The little green alien from Eastasiasoft’s Alien Breakout may not be the most terrifying alien in gaming – Ridley Scott’s Xenomorphs must take the title – but boy does this hero pack a punch.
Can you survive the 100+ levels in this colourful platformer, and guide the alien to victory?
Code Red, Code Red!
Now available on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, Alien Breakout has made its way over to sandy console shores following a few months being exclusive to PC.
This classic 2D platformer will see you blasting foes with a purple ray gun, platforming across some pretty tricky little trials, whilst ensuring that our alien protagonist doesn’t get taken out by spinning saw blades, green goop, or explosive TNT.
It’s all pretty traditional platforming action, perfect for whittling away a few hours as the rain pours outside on what was supposed to be a hot summer’s day. Soon enough, you’ll be captivated by the ability to ricochet your shots into the many enemies across the game’s runtime, or into switches which allow you to exit the level.
