Cyber Rhino Studios reckon that you have probably beaten the dragon, rescued the Princess and found your treasure numerous times already. With that in mind, they want you to embark on a real adventure with Gryphon Knight Epic.

Not all epic stories end happily ever after and Gryphon Knight Epic tells the tale of Sir Oliver, a former glory who has been challenged by his past. After a successful Kickstarter campaign finished with the game appearing on PC, Cyber Rhino have today confirmed that the game will appear on Xbox One on the 30th March and PS4 from the 29th.

It promises to take us back to the golden age of shmups with enchanting visuals, easy gameplay and a decent progression mechanic all in play.

“We are happy to launch GKE on consoles! It has been 6 months of polishing and fixing the game using input from reviewers, gamer community and play testers. We are confident that this version fixed all flaws present at the day of PC launch”, says Sandro Tomasetti, Game Designer of Gryphon Knight Epic.

You’ll be able to pick it up soon for $9.90 with the following features playing a key role in its success…

  • Fight your way as the brave knight Sir Oliver, riding your gryphon Áquila, through 8 hand-crafted, eye-candy levels
  • Duel with challenging bosses, get their weapons and level-up your skills
  • Explore the stages to find equipment and hidden items, and discover the ancient lore of the world
  • Laugh with hilarious dialogues, widen your eyes in epic moments, and have tons of old-school fun!

You won’t have long to wait before you can go and check out Sir Oliver’s adventure. We will of course remind you once it arrives on Xbox One.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
