Twilight Parade Moonlit Mononoke
Twilight Parade Moonlit Mononoke – out now

What happens when you’re not invited to the biggest supernatural party of the year? You crash it, of course!

A brand-new, chaotic bullet-hell shooter that sees you playing as uninvited oni twins, Twilight Parade: Moonlit Mononoke, has launched via Super16bits and Eastasiasoft. It is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch for the low price of just ÂŁ4.99.

Prepare to blast your way through hordes of yokai, take on massive bosses, and get your revenge in style.

The Yokai Party

The story of Twilight Parade is a simple one: you’re not on the guest list. You play as the uninvited oni twins and their friends, and you’re here to crash the yokai party. Your mission is to blast your way through five chaotic stages, all inspired by Japanese culture, to take down massive bosses and get your revenge in style.

Check out the vibrant pixel-art action in the official launch trailer…

A Symphony of Bullets and Style

This is a game of classic bullet-hell action. You will need to fly, shoot, and dodge strategically to survive the swarms of enemies. You can choose from four unique characters, each with their own distinct abilities and powerful assistants, to find the playstyle that suits you best.

As you fight, you can upgrade your weapons to better defend against the enemy swarms. Your journey will culminate in a series of battles against screen-filling bosses, each designed to test your skills to the absolute limit.

Another Pixel-Art Blast from Eastasiasoft

Publisher Eastasiasoft continues its mission to bring a massive variety of unique and affordable indie titles to console players. The chaotic shmup action of Twilight Parade joins a huge and diverse library that has recently included the retro-inspired survival shooter REDEX and the retro platformer Halloween 1985.

Your Party Invitation

Here’s what you can expect from this new bullet-hell shooter:

  • Fly, shoot, and dodge strategically in bullet-hell style!
  • Choose from 4 unique characters.
  • Blast through 5 stages inspired by Japanese culture.
  • Upgrade your weapons and defend against enemy swarms.
  • Battle against screen-filling bosses.

The yokai are parading, and they didn’t send you an invitation. It’s time to show them why that was a bad idea. If you’re a fan of fast-paced, pixel-art bullet-hell shooters, Twilight Parade: Moonlit Mononoke is ready for you on the Xbox Store right now, then becoming playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

If you’d prefer to pick it up on Nintendo Switch or PlayStation, feel free.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
