Date Everything – out now!

Prepare to explore a world where even the most ordinary objects hold romantic potential! Date Everything!, the star-studded sandbox dating simulator from Sassy Chap Games and Team17, has officially launched.

Date Everything! is a bizarrely brilliant adventure, and it is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The Outlandish Premise

This isn’t just another visual novel; it’s an experience bursting with character, creativity, and a voice cast that reads like a “Who’s Who” of video game royalty.

In Date Everything!, your Bachelor of Fine Arts in customer service has unfortunately gone to waste, as you’ve just lost your job to AI. But just as things look bleak, a mysterious stranger sends you a gift: a pair of magical glasses called ‘Dateviators’. Put them on, and your entire house comes alive… and becomes dateable!

Chatting Up Your Cutlery, Romancing Your Radiator

Equipped with your “Dateviator” glasses, you can now chat with everything from the laundry basket to the very air itself, discovering their unique personalities, backstories, and desires. You’ll engage in branching dialogue that leads to multiple endings for each character (or object!).

As you make choices, the fully interactive 3D overworld will change and evolve around you, reflecting the relationships you’re building.

A Star-Studded Household of Voices

The sheer scale of Date Everything! is mind-boggling, with over 100 fully voiced dateable characters, more than 11,000 hand-drawn images, 1.2 million words, and 70,000 lines of dialogue.

To bring this world to life, Sassy Chap Games has assembled one of the biggest cast of stars ever in a game. Get ready to be wooed by the voices of:

  • Felicia Day (Supernatural, Fallout)
  • Ben Starr (Final Fantasy 16)
  • Critical Role star Matt Mercer
  • BAFTA Award winners Laura Bailey (The Last of Us) and Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3)
  • Troy Baker (Indiana Jones and The Great Circle)
  • Ashley Burch (Horizon series)
  • …and many more!

A World Bursting with Character

We’ve already had the chance to don the Dateviators and explore this strange and wonderful world. In our full 4/5 review of Date Everything!, we concluded:

Date Everything! is a very different take on the dating sim genre, but it is bursting with character and the characters to match. It’s hard not to be impressed with the creativity on show, and be sucked into the bizarre but brilliant world the team at Sassy Chaps Games have created.

Lavish Your Love: Editions & DLC

Date Everything! is available on the Xbox Store in two main editions:

  • Standard Edition (£29.99): Includes the full base game with its 100+ dateable characters.
  • Lavish Edition (£34.99): Includes the base game PLUS:
    • Michael Transaction – the dateable micro-transaction!
    • Lucinda Lavish – the dateable deluxe edition herself!
    • Fantastic Red Shirt – an unlockable shirt that characters may comment on positively!
    • 26 new Phone Backgrounds
    • Digital Artbook with concept art for all 102 characters.
    • Digital OST featuring over 4 hours of music.
  • Lavish DLC (£7.99): For those who buy the Standard Edition and want to upgrade later.

Key Features of Your New Dating Life

In Date Everything!, you’ll explore a world where even ordinary objects have romantic potential, thanks to magical ‘Dateviator’ glasses. Fall in love with over 100 fully voiced, dateable characters, brought to life by a star-studded cast including Felicia Day, Matt Mercer, Laura Bailey, and Troy Baker.

Your choices in the branching dialogue will shape relationships, lead to multiple endings, and even change the fully interactive 3D overworld around you.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
