It’s a festival of rock this summer, at least when it comes to the Fortnite scene. The boys of Metallica have been transported into the Fortnite universe, and will be performing in six different shows across Saturday June 22nd, and Sunday June 23rd. Read on for more details, and for how you can get involved in the first ever band performance in Fortnite!
A Bespoke Performance
Utilising the power of Unreal Editor for Fortnite, the iconic Metallica four of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujilo have been faithfully recreated across Fortnite Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, so you can get involved however you like your Fortniting.
There’s also some Metallica-themed cosmetics coming over to Rocket League, given their ownership by Epic Games.
We are particularly excited to get involved with Fortnite Festival; a Rock Band-esque competitive version of Fortnite in which 16 players will play along to a rock playlist, with those hitting the right notes the most consistently emerging victorious.
