Join the resistance as Watch Dogs: Legion comes to Xbox One, PS4, Stadia and PC

Get ready, because here comes one of the most intriguing games of the year. Watch Dogs: Legion launches for the Xbox One, PS4, Stadia and PC, and it is bringing all of its grandma gameplay with it.

The London of the near-future is in turmoil. Thanks to an oppressive, militant regime, and underground criminals, the streets are rife with violence and fear. What are everyday citizens supposed to do? Fight back en masse, is what. ¡Viva la revolución!

Following the success of Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2, if you haven’t already heard, Watch Dogs: Legion claims that you can play as literally any NPC you can find in the city of London. From paramedics to construction workers and street artists to grandmas with tasers. Yes, this is where the grandma gameplay comes in. Each and every single NPC that you control has a name, a life, an entire backstory, and a unique gameplay skill to aid the cause of your revolution.

In addition to the crazy promises of gameplay, you’ll also be able to traverse the sprawling open world of London while doing some signature Watch Dogs hacking. With the more futuristic setting, there seems to be even more hi-tech gadgetry to bend to your will. Armed drones and spider-bots to name a few interesting options.

One of the most exciting features are the amount of options available for you and friends to play cooperatively. Open world co-op exploration, co-op missions, and even a BattleBots-esque spider-bot arena. Of course, all of these multiplayer options are filled with customization options for you to enjoy, collect, and display.

Watch Dogs: Legions is available now on Xbox One, but soon-to-be Series X or S owners will be able to enjoy a free next gen enhanced version through Smart Delivery. For only one payment of £59.99 you can get access to the Standard Edition of the game, and you get the current and next gen editions included. That’s a pretty slick deal. Move up to the £84.99 Gold Edition and you’ll find the Season Pass included, whilst those going all out with the Ultimate Edition for £99.99 will get the included four-week VIP status, three new masks, and the Urban Jungle Pack which comes complete with new characters galore. 

Further still, the Xbox Store is able to handle an individual purchase of the Season Pass for £32.99, some free audio packs for those preferring Japanese, German, Spanish or Brazilian tones, and a number of Watch Dogs Legion Credit Packs – ranging from £7.99 for 1100 WD up to £39.99 for 7250 WD. 

You’ll also find the game available on PS4 and PC, with PS5 capabilities rolling out later down the line.
