Sengoku Dynasty – coming to consoles in 2025

Had a beady eye cast the way of Sengoku Dynasty on PC? Come 2025 that game will also be present and playable on console.

Currently in Steam Early Access (it’s been there for a good year already), Sengoku Dynasty is a legacy builder from Superkami and Toplitz Productions, allowing players the opportunity to explore their own open world in Japan, creating villages, taking in some life simulation and, above all else, attempting to survive.

PC in November, Console 2025

Due to come out of Early Access in November on PC, Sengoku Dynasty will then look to head to console in 2025, bringing single player and multiplayer cooperative fun to further systems. We’re crossing fingers that Xbox Series X|S will be one of those, but full confirmation will be shared in the early months of next year.

What you can be sure of is that the console version will be identical to the adventures taking place on PC, at least in terms of size and content features. Those console players will also be able to traverse the world alone, or with three companions in co-op. That should therefore provide the chance for console gamers to immerse themselves into the captivating world of feudal Japan and its tumultuous past, transforming a famine-stricken and war-torn land into their personal legacy.

Highly anticipated, Sengoku Dynasty will deliver a rich blend of survival, crafting and exploration to a broader audience, offering new ways to experience its stunning landscapes and task-driven gameplay. While specific platforms and launch dates remain under wraps, the game’s intention to launch on console promises to be a milestone event for the Sengoku Dynasty community and fans of life simulation and survival games alike. Survive Japan

Wherever you play, Sengoku Dynasty provides a unique insight into Japanese social structure,
craftsmanship and economy that will see console players build and expand their villages using natural resources like bamboo, stone, grass, ore or wood. Players will also be able to employ villagers, conduct trade, cultivate the land and construct a range of buildings including breweries, workshops, houses, watch towers or shrines.

Furthermore, players will be able to create essential farming tools and even weapons from the resources they gather with the game’s deep crafting system, including katanas and bows as they look to build their legacy and help their communities thrive.

Matthias Wünsche, CEO Toplitz Productions GmbH, comments “We’re extremely pleased to announce that Sengoku Dynasty will bring its captivating world of 16th Century Japan to console audiences. Superkami has delivered a game that captures the culture, traditions and breathtaking landscapes of a rich historical era. We can’t wait for players to explore this unique world and embark on their own journey in the world of medieval Japan.”

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
