There are times for complexity and there are times for simplicity. On the face of it, Spencer most certainly deals with the latter.
C’mon on, admit it, one look at the screenshots and you’re sold on Spencer. Right? Right?
Well, we are and we can only assume that anyone not interested in the classic jump ‘n’ run gameplay that it delivers just doesn’t like gaming. Because you know, it’s the simple games that are the best. Isn’t it?
Spencer is certainly hoping for that to be the case as it arrives on Xbox One to ensure those looking for a bit of simple fun are well catered for. Priced at £5.79 and with super colourful, rather delightful, visuals to boot, if you just want to partake in a bit of jumping, running, enemy destroying and coin collecting, then this more than suffices.
See, Spencer is all about the titular character – an intergalactic traveller who has just so happened to crash his little spaceship on Earth. And it is here where the troubles begin because this has allowed all manner of wicked aliens to escape, stealing the only ship parts in the process. Without them, Spencer is doomed to life on Earth and he doesn’t much care for us Earthlings so you’ll need to help him destroy the bad guys, find all the important parts and get a shift on out of there.
Coin and diamond collecting will be front and centre of this little adventure and the more you collect the higher your score will be. And we all know what high scores make? Well, in this case safety for little Spencer.
If you wish to hop into the shows of an intergalactic space traveller and have just a few quid to spare then you should at least be considering a purchase of Spencer. The Xbox Store will let you in on his adventure.

Gameplay: You have to collect all Coins to open the exit automat and finish the level. When all Coins are collected, bonus diamonds appears. Be fast, the house ghost is following you and will steal all your bonus diamonds. Use special items carefully to trick the ghost and get more diamonds and enemies for a great highscore.
