Jurassic World Evolution 3 Rebirth Expansion

If you’ve ever looked at your carefully crafted dinosaur park and thought it needed more mutant predators, ancient ruins and experimental science, then Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion has arrived at exactly the right time.

Launching today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, the biggest DLC yet for Frontier Developments‘ park-building sequel takes players back before the events of the Jurassic World Rebirth film, introducing a substantial new campaign, four new species and hundreds of fresh decorative options to transform their facilities.

Better still, it arrives alongside a sizeable free update for all players.

Building Parks In Uncharted Territory

The Rebirth Expansion transports players to three new locations tied directly to the Jurassic World Rebirth storyline.

Site Managers will oversee operations across ĂŽle Saint-Hubert’s Main Facility, Ancient Valley, and Riverside Lab, each presenting its own layout challenges and opportunities. These locations aren’t simply cosmetic additions either, introducing new gameplay mechanics and management considerations that expand on the foundations of the base game.

There is also the introduction of Geothermal Power, allowing players to harness natural energy sources for the first time in the series.

New Dinosaurs Steal The Spotlight

Of course, no Jurassic World expansion would be complete without fresh prehistoric stars.

Leading the charge is the terrifying Distortus rex, joined by the winged Mutadon, the curious Aquilops, and the enormous Titanosaurus.

Alongside these newcomers, Frontier has also added authentic new models and skins for several fan favourites, including the T. rex, Spinosaurus, Mosasaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Dilophosaurus, and Velociraptor.

For players who enjoy tinkering with their creatures, new experimental traits provide additional ways to alter and enhance species behaviour and characteristics.

More Ways To Shape Your Park

The Rebirth Expansion doesn’t stop at dinosaurs. Players gain access to an enormous collection of new creative tools, including 387 scenery pieces and 37 blueprints, featuring everything from InGen-inspired facilities to ancient Mayan-themed structures.

Meanwhile, a new Assignment system adds another layer of progression. Priority Assignments help advance the campaign, while optional objectives unlock additional genomes, research projects and experimental upgrades.

Open Air Aviaries also make their debut, improving visibility for flying reptiles while expanding terrain editing possibilities for park builders who enjoy pushing their creativity to the limit.

A Free Update Lands Alongside The DLC

Even players who aren’t picking up the expansion have reasons to revisit their parks.

Update 1.3 launches as a free update for all Jurassic World Evolution 3 owners and introduces several notable additions, including semi-aquatic behaviour for the iconic T. rex, Cretaceous Cruise functionality within aviaries, and the return of Cearadactylus from Jurassic World Evolution 2 as a family unit.

It’s another welcome batch of content for a game that continues to evolve at a rapid pace.

Continuing An Excellent Run

The Rebirth Expansion follows the recent Wetlands DLC and further strengthens what has already been a hugely successful entry in Frontier’s dinosaur management series.

When we reviewed Jurassic World Evolution 3, we awarded it a 4.5/5 score, saying: “Jurassic World Evolution 3 is an incredibly satisfying park builder. The overall challenge may be lacking but the environmental and park design mechanics more than make up for that slight disappointment.

Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion is available today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC for ÂŁ19.99. We’ll point you to the Xbox Store.

Whether you’re eager to unleash the fearsome Distortus rex, redesign your park with hundreds of new scenery pieces, or simply explore the events leading up to Jurassic World Rebirth, this latest expansion looks set to be Frontier’s most ambitious Jurassic World Evolution 3 DLC yet.
