2026's Best Games

If you love a bit of dino action then there are all manner of great games to involve yourself in, but perhaps the deepest, most immersive, is that of Jurassic World Evolution. And today, after seeing the Carnivores previously arrive, it’s now time for the plant eaters to take centre stage with the arrival of the Jurassic World Evolution: Herbivore Dinosaur Pack on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Available from today to purchase and download into your game, the Jurassic World Evolution: Herbivore Dinosaur Pack is a new premium downloadable content pack that comes about from the teams at Frontier and Universal Games. As the title suggests, it drops 3 new dinosaurs into Jurassic World Evolution – alongside a free game update for all players – and should really be just the reason you need to find yourself frequenting the park once more.

Included in the Herbivore Dinosaur Pack are Derek the Dryosaurus, Horace the Homalocephale and Nigel the Nigersaurus (of course, if you’d prefer to give them different names, then by all means do so!) with details of each as follows:

  • The Dryosaurus is a forest dweller who relies on speed and dexterity for survival, using its stiff tail as ballast to swiftly change direction while running.
  • The Homalocephale gets its name from the smooth, even shape of her head. It sports a flat, wedge-shaped skull used as a tool for head-butting.
  • The Nigersaurus is one of the smallest Sauropods discovered. It measures 9 meters long and despite its long neck, the Nigersaurus is a grazer, feeding from plants close to the ground and near riverbeds.

Further to that though, the latest free update for the game is rolling out about now too, and this ensures that each and every Jurassic World Evolution player will be able to play through all the islands in Sandbox Mode, provided the island has already been unlocked through career progression. You will also be able to use sand variants for all islands in this mode, and further customize your parks.

The Jurassic World Evolution: Herbivore Dinosaur Pack retails at £3.99, €4.99, $4.99 and becomes available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC today. Head on over to the usual digital stores in order to grab it. You will obviously need the brilliant base game to hand first, but should you already be down with the Jurassic lifestyle, will no doubt have that in place already.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
