Kao the Kangaroo gets the spooky chills in time for Halloween

Just as the Halloween season begins to approach, a host of games are getting hit with the spooky feels. One that we didn’t particularly expect to run that route though was Kao the Kangaroo, a wholesome little platformer inspired by the games of yesteryear. But what do we know, for today Kao not only comes bearing bundle gifts, but throws some spooky DLC into the mix too.

Available today for Kao the Kangaroo players to enjoy is the Oh! Well DLC pack. This comes at a price of €6.99/$6.99/ÂŁ5.49 and gives players the chance to take in no less than five new playable levels – the bonus wells levels. Further to that, there are the same number of spooky skins chucked in too, unlockable via level completion.

These new levels promise to test Kao to the max so if you thought you were done with the platforming goodness that he was able to previously deliver in the base game, think again.

And if you haven’t picked up Kao the Kangaroo yet, then a new Well Good Bundle is also present. This combines the base game with a couple of free DLC drops in the form of Summer Drip and Top of the Class, along with the new spooky Oh! Well DLC. Expect to pay €34.99/$34.99/ÂŁ28.99.

You’ll find Kao the Kangaroo, the Oh! Well DLC and the Well Good Bundle all present and correct on the usual digital stores today. The Xbox Store will sort you out for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, whilst the game is also available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC through both Steam and Epic.

The trailer below will give further insight. Give it a watch and then let us know what you think about the latest Kao goodies by dropping into the comments or by hitting us up on the socials.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
