KEMCO RPG Selection Vol. 8 Brings Four Classic Adventures Together On Xbox And PC

Monster Viator
The KEMCO RPG Selection Vol 8 is live!

If you’ve been waiting for a convenient way to bulk up your JRPG library, KEMCO RPG Selection Vol. 8 has arrived on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC at £33.49 – bundling together four of KEMCO’s most memorable retro-styled adventures in one tidy package.

Rather than spotlighting individual releases, this volume celebrates variety, offering players a quartet of worlds to explore, stories to unravel, and battles to master.

Four Worlds, Four Distinct Journeys

Each title in this latest collection brings its own flavour, its own storytelling DNA, and its own approach to classic, turn-based RPG design. From airborne bounties to forgotten memories, KEMCO RPG Selection Vol. 8 trades in nostalgia, experimentation, and the studio’s signature dedication to old-school charm.

  • Monster Viator – A Quest Of Memories And Monsters – A traditional fantasy tale built around exploration and recruitment, Monster Viator invites players to assemble a diverse entourage of monsters and uncover the secrets of a lost past. Our review praised its layered systems and genuine challenge, noting how “an engaging story, likeable heroes and a deep job system” help it stand out – though the difficulty spikes can be fierce for the unprepared.
  • Crystal Ortha – Treasure Hunting With Personality – One of KEMCO’s more warmly received titles, Crystal Ortha blends a treasure-seeking story with vibrant pixel-based animations and a flexible skill system. We previously called it “one of the better KEMCO games of recent times… worth playing for JRPG fans”, pointing out that its puzzles, party dynamics and lighthearted tone help set it apart from the usual formula.
  • Armed Emeth – Golems, Grit, And Bounties – Taking a detour into a dusty, diesel-scented world, Armed Emeth focuses on bounty hunting and golem riders battling their way through a desolate frontier. When it launched, we highlighted its golem-customisation hooks and unusual setting – a refreshing alternative to the standard fantasy backdrop KEMCO often leans on.
  • Justice Chronicles – A Tale Of Beasts And Battlefields – A more dramatic entry, Justice Chronicles follows warriors and guardian beasts through shifting allegiances and sprawling conflict. While our review identified issues with its pacing and storytelling – describing it as “overwritten pulp with some reasonable ideas shining through” – fans of KEMCO’s heavier narrative style may still find plenty to enjoy in its combat depth and world-building ambitions.

What’s Inside The Bundle

KEMCO RPG Selection Vol. 8 isn’t just a convenience pack – it’s a curated slice of the publisher’s back catalogue, showcasing different tones, worlds, and pacing styles.

Whether you want something grounded, something strange, something experimental, or something comfortably traditional, this set offers a little of everything.

Bundle Highlights

  • Four full-length JRPGs in one package
  • Monster Viator, Crystal Ortha, Armed Emeth, Justice Chronicles included
  • Turn-based combat, character growth, and monster recruitment systems
  • Distinct art styles across pixel, fantasy and dieselpunk settings
  • Hundreds of hours of combined story content

A Convenient Gateway Into The KEMCO Library

KEMCO RPG Selection Vol. 8 is ideal for players who enjoy dipping in and out of different RPG experiences without having to purchase each title separately.

With four adventures spanning quirky, heartfelt, mysterious, and combat-heavy tones, this volume shows exactly why KEMCO has remained a constant presence in the retro JRPG scene – steady, varied, and always dedicated to keeping classic design alive.

If you’re looking to expand your backlog with a sizeable dose of nostalgia, or simply want a flexible bundle to sink your teeth into over the coming months, this new collection is a welcome arrival and should well be considered if you’ve previously picked up other KEMCO bundles.

The Xbox Store is waiting.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
