We first stumbled upon Kid Tripp back in 2018, wandering towards the Four Horses booth at EGX, being drawn in by the old school platforming of Miles and Kilo and wowed by the nonstop autorunning of Kid Tripp. These were games that we kept going back to time and time again across the course of the event and after seeing the former drop onto Xbox One in the early stages of 2019, Four Horses have now got round to pushing the latter out to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities bringing everything together.Â
Available to purchase and download right now from the Xbox Store – with a stupidly cheap price point of just £3.29 in tow – Kid Tripp comes with the same old-school visuals as Miles and Kilo, but that doesn’t mean it’s an old-school game.Â
Running at 60 frames per second, a modern take is placed on Kid Tripp and should you decide the low price point ensures this is worth taking a punt on, will discover no less than 20 levels spread across multiple worlds, all of which feature super challenging, fast paced platforming. Your task is to help Kid Tripp work his way across a mysterious island, all in order to escape – it’s just it won’t be easy.
Intense platforming action will always hold a place in our hearts and we can’t wait to go hands on with Kid Tripp on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. When you consider that Xbox Play Anywhere capabilities are included too, it all seems to be a bit of a no-brainer. Our full review will however help fill out the finer details. Keep an eye out for it.
