With E3 2019 out of the way the entire gaming industry begins to set sights on Europe, and that can only mean one thing – Gamescom! Today Konami have not just confirmed their attendance in their 50th year, but have also detailed the games they will be bringing with them, giving fans the opportunity to go hands-on.
Running between August 20th-24th 2019 in Cologne, Germany, Gamescom will be found featuring a whole host of hugely anticipated games, with those detailed previously at E3 among them.
Konami will be there too, and found in the company’s consumer booth in Hall 9 will be playable versions of both eFootball PES 2020 and Contra: Rogue Corps, with never before seen content on show.
eFootball PES 2020 ushers in a new decade of industry-leading football simulation with a bold promise to revolutionise eFootball and introduce the sport to a global audience. Continuing its dedicated pursuit of realism, the latest instalment in the PES series takes fan feedback into consideration, bringing several impactful changes that instil every moment of play with a sense of complete freedom and control. Key changes include a remastered version of Master League, a brand-new mode called Matchday and a completely overhauled visual identity for in-game menus.
CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS is a twin stick, third-person action game drawing upon its roots in fast and focused combat. From the director of CONTRA III: THE ALIEN WARS and CONTRA: HARD CORPS, Nobuya Nakazato instils more than 25 years of franchise pedigree into CONTRA: ROGUE CORPS with enormous crazed enemies, over-the-top violence, and a cast of diverse playable characters that add to the irreverent tone of the game. Players will complete missions in PVE campaigns, gathering resources to upgrade their guns to stay alive in the Damned City. Online and local multiplayer modes also feature, allowing players to bring in a friend and mow-down enemies together.
Further to that, Yu-Gi-Oh! will be front and centre with fans no doubt excited to learn that the company will once again erect a dedicated booth for the long-running franchise, featuring separate areas for Speed Duel, Duel Links, Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution and more.
