We’re big fans of KontrolFreek and so it brings great pleasure when we hear of a licensing deal that will ensure even further great products dropping into the hands of Xbox gamers.

Today, KontrolFreek have confirmed that they have signed deals with Activision and Bungie to co-develop branded performance gaming gear which will help optimise gameplay across both the Call of Duty and Destiny franchises. After huge success in 2015 with their Call of Duty branded thumbsticks, chances are this year will be just as big a deal for the world’s premier thumbstick creators. Whilst details are still rather thin on the ground, we have been promised new licensed products throughout 2016, with initial release dates set as early as this Spring.

“The team is thrilled to be working with KontrolFreek to introduce new thumbsticks and even more for Destiny,” said Jim McQuillan, Visual Identity and Brand Creative Director at Bungie. “This year we’re hoping to work together with KontrolFreek to create some unique designs that embody the Destiny experience for our fans.”

President and CEO of KontrolFreek, Ashish Mistry, anticipates a watershed year for the company, including huge successes with the licensed products.

“We’re on track for a huge 2016,” said Mistry. “We are always looking for new ways to give our customers high-quality products that reflect their game style and their favorite titles. These new licensing deals solidify that strategy even more and we can’t wait to see what the future brings with these two fantastic brands.”

Xbox gamers could well be in for a treat! If you’re one of the few people who are unfamiliar with the products that KontrolFreek deal with, we advise you to check out some of our articles, including unboxing videos and full reviews. We can near as damn it guarantee that after you’ve added a set of their Galaxy or Inferno thumbsticks to your Xbox One controller, you’ll never go back!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
