Bambas!
Bambas! – out now on Xbox

Do you remember those carefree childhood days when the streets were your playground, and every curb, puddle, or sidewalk could become part of an epic mission? A new sandbox game on Xbox aims to bring that magic back, all through an incredibly innovative control system. Fancy going for a walk with Bambas!?

Bambas! is a quirky walking simulator from developer and publisher DevilishGames – and it has launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for ÂŁ12.49.

The Streets are Your Playground

Prepare to explore a vibrant Mediterranean coastal city where creativity knows no bounds, and where mastering the art of walking is the first step to endless fun.

Bambas! is a celebration of urban culture and childhood imagination. Set in a gorgeous, sketchbook-style world, you are free to explore, take on challenges, and cause a bit of harmless chaos. It’s a game built on environmental storytelling, where every corner hides tales waiting to be uncovered.

Mastering Your Sneakers

The standout feature of Bambas! is its unique and innovative control system. You don’t just push a stick forward to walk. Instead, you use the controller’s sticks and triggers to move each of your sneakers independently, mimicking the motion of your own feet.

This turns the simple act of navigation into a fun and engaging challenge in itself.

Walking forward isn’t enough! You’ll need to master this control scheme to navigate crosswalks, precisely kick cans, balance on curbs, and even pull off impossible-looking jumps.

The city is packed with hundreds of challenges and impromptu missions. You might be delivering pizzas on a scooter, playing a game of hopscotch, or just trying to find all the coins in a fountain. You’ll meet other characters (who are also shoes!) and discover hidden spots packed with secrets on your unexpected journeys. As you progress, you’ll unlock a treasure trove of customisable sneakers to show off your style.

Key Features

  • Innovative Control System: Use your controller’s sticks and triggers to move each sneaker independently.
  • Vibrant Sandbox World: Explore a Mediterranean coastal city bursting with detail and secrets.
  • Hundreds of Challenges: Kick cans, balance on curbs, play hopscotch, deliver pizzas, and much more.
  • Non-Linear Narrative: Discover the city’s stories through environmental storytelling.
  • Deep Customisation: Unlock and personalize a treasure trove of different sneakers.

A Celebration of Urban Culture & Childhood Imagination

This is a game where every single stride is an adventure of its own. If you’re looking for a truly unique, relaxing, and creative sandbox experience with a control scheme that will challenge you in a whole new way, then it’s time to lace up.

Bambas! is available to download right now on the Xbox Store.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
