With just a few weeks left until DiRT 4 finally arrives on consoles, it’s fair to say the general hype is now at an all time high – and rightfully so after the near perfect showing we had from DiRT Rally. But with release coming just before E3, Codemasters have missed the chance to show off what’s to come on the biggest stage of them all, so instead our sneak peek into the world of DiRT 4 comes down to what is provided in trailers. Luckily for us, today just so happens to mark the arrival of the latest gameplay trailer, and with it comes some of the finest looking Rallycross gameplay we’ve seen for some time.
DiRT 4 is the official game of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, and the new gameplay trailer does well to showcase it, showing Supercars racing at locations such as Lohéac Bretagne, Montalegre, Lydden Hill, Hell and Holjes. It also lets us drop in on some rallycross racing in some of the finest RX2, Super 1600’s, Group B classics and crosskarts. DiRT 4 promises to be a truly fully fledged rallycross experience.
The development team behind DiRT 4 have had ongoing input from two-time FIA World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg, with the rallycross handling in DiRT 4 undergoing a complete overhaul to ensure it feel as close to the real thing as possible.
