Space Science Investigations Xbox

The vast majority of us will have wanted to visit space at some point in our lives. Just maybe without all the G-force training and dehydrated meals. Now though, a new arrival on Xbox gives us perhaps the best real-life indication of space yet Forget your Mass Effects and your No Man’s Sky’s, this is real-life. Find out what life is like on the International Space Station in Space Science Investigations on Xbox.

This isn’t just a social visit to the ISS however, there is work to be done. The H-II Transfer Vehicle is due to arrive, and you will need to make sure it berths correctly. But before that, you need to prepare the space station itself.

Travel round this recreation of the ISS in zero-g and get a sense of how that feels. As you do so, you will learn about how microgravity affects the human body. Space Science Investigations has been developed in conjunction with NASA themselves to give you the realest experience possible.

Space Science Investigations is designed as more of a learning tool rather than an out and out game. You will get to experience a small part of what life is like on the ISS, perform some day-to-day tasks on there and receive some factoids at the same time. But just because it isn’t an out-and-out game doesn’t mean that there will not be achievements to be had.

Space Science Investigations is on the Xbox Store now, with the best part being that it is completely free! No microtransactions or anything like that, this is an entirely free experience. Will it be worth having on your Xbox profile? Our review will be able to answer that question for you very soon.

Game description

Welcome to the International Space Station! It’s your job to make sure the resupply H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) is successfully berthed to the International Space Station. But before you can do that you must prepare the ISS for the HTV’s arrival. Moving in zero-g will be different than what you are used to on Earth. Spend some time flying, flipping, and spinning around the station without gravity to assist you. But be careful, you might get sick! While completing tasks and floating around the International Space Station you will learn about and experience the effects of microgravity on the human body. The app contains information on the effects of microgravity on the human body for use in the classroom and at home.
