Prepare to venture into the darkness as the latest title to release on Xbox One and PS4, Another Sight, looks to thrust you into the role of a blind protagonist who, in order to make it through a surreal fantasy world, must rely on a guardian angel of sorts to lead the way.
Set in London, 1899, Another Sight focuses on an unlikely partnership between an intrepid teenager named Kit and a rather mysterious furry red cat, Hodge. After a freak accident involving a collapsed tunnel within a London Underground construction site, Kit loses her sight. Panic soon sets in, but a chance meeting with the unique Hodge provides a helping hand to guide her to safety; as luck would have it, he lights up the darkness around you into a world of shapes and colours. Together, they explore this odd world, with each using their talents to make their way through compelling environments and to solve some intriguing puzzles along the way.
Beneath London, in a world that’s inspired by Neil Gaiman’s urban fantasy, Neverwhere, Kit and Hodge encounter a hidden society made up of the world’s greatest inventors and finest artistic minds. Expect to bump into a whole host of famous folk including Claude Monet, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison as well as other historical, cultural icons. And these encounters will have a visual impact on the world too; Kit’s perception of it alters according to the aesthetics of each famous character’s creative movement.

Another Sight puts a real emphasis on the constantly developing relationship between the girl and the cat in this adventure. So if that’s something you’re interested in, it’s out now for Xbox One and is priced at £24.99 on the Xbox Store – for those of you on PlayStation 4, please check your respective store.
Will you be putting your faith in a cat to overcome the challenges ahead?
