The signal is lit, and the Dark Knight is returning to the world of LEGO in his most ambitious adventure yet – LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

Warner Bros, TT Games, DC, and The LEGO Group have announced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a brand-new action-adventure game set to launch in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

This epic new title invites players to become the hero of Gotham City in a story inspired by the entire 86-year history of Batman across film, television, comics, and games, all combined with the legendary humour that TT Games is famous for.

A Fond Look Back at Gotham’s Past

The LEGO Batman series holds a special place in the hearts of many, delivering some of the best and most beloved entries in the entire LEGO games franchise. In our own look back at LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, we noted that “there are very few games in the LEGO franchise that come close to nailing that all important fun element.” It’s a game many remember fondly.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks to build on that incredible legacy, taking the fun element and expanding it across a massive open world and a story that celebrates everything that makes Batman an enduring icon.

From Origin to Legend: An Epic New Story

This is the definitive LEGO Batman experience, taking players on a journey through the Caped Crusader’s entire history.

The adventure begins with the very origins of Batman, as a young Bruce Wayne trains with The League of Shadows. Throughout the story-led campaign, you will witness his evolution into the hero of Gotham.

The Bat-Family Assembles

You won’t have to fight alone. Players will build a family of allies with well-known characters like Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Catwoman.

You’ll need all the help you can get to confront an ever-growing threat from a Rogues Gallery of DC Super-Villains, including The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Bane, and more.

A New Level of Crime-Fighting

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight introduces a host of new gameplay features that take the series to a whole new level.

The game features a dynamic new LEGO Batman combat system designed to encapsulate the Dark Knight’s distinctive fighting style. Every hit packs a punch with fluid attack chains, counters, and over-the-top takedowns.

You’ll use iconic Bat-gadgets like Batarangs and the Batclaw, while your partners will have their own signature gear, like Robin’s line launcher and Catwoman’s whip.

An Open-World Gotham

For the first time in the series, you can explore a full, open-world LEGO Gotham City. Grapple, glide, or drive through the environment, soaring over the city with the Batglider or cruising in style with a range of Batmobiles and Batcycles.

The city is a playground full of crimes to stop, puzzles to solve, and surprises to discover.
