Autobahn Police Simulator 4 – coming to Xbox, PlayStation, PC

Get ready to hit the German Autobahn once again, as Autobahn Police Simulator 4 has been revealed for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Aerosoft and Z-Software promising the biggest and most ambitious entry in the long-running police simulation series yet.

Coming in 2026, the latest instalment expands the roads players can patrol while introducing new police vehicles, multiple stations and a broader range of incidents to deal with.

  • Publisher: Aerosoft
  • Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S
  • Release: 2026
  • Formats: Digital and physical

A Bigger World Of Police Work

Autobahn Police Simulator 4 isn’t restricting its officers to endless stretches of motorway. The new open world combines the Autobahn with winding country roads, industrial areas, residential districts, petrol stations and small towns, all surrounded by forests and mountains.

Players will be able to conduct traffic stops, check documents and vehicles, respond to accidents and deal with suspicious motorists. Not every call will remain routine, though, with some situations escalating into high-speed pursuits that require a much faster response.

The world is fully drivable too, allowing players to head wherever the next call takes them.

Build Your Police Career

Doing the job well will also have its rewards. Officers can earn reputation, climb through the ranks and unlock additional vehicles, equipment and police stations as their career develops.

Alongside regular patrol cars, unmarked vehicles will offer a more discreet way of keeping tabs on suspicious road users. Special operations and optional side missions will provide further work beyond the regular radio dispatches.

A New Chapter For The Series

Autobahn Police Simulator has been patrolling German roads since 2015, with each sequel adding more to the police career. Autobahn Police Simulator 2 introduced a living station and career progression, while the third game expanded the duties available to players with motorcycle patrols, tactical speed traps and off-road investigations.

There is also a little history between the series and us. We awarded Autobahn Police Simulator 3 a 2/5, noting that its variety and ambition were let down by mechanics that struggled to deliver on its ideas.

That makes this fourth instalment particularly interesting. Z-Software is promising a broader world and a more player-led experience, giving the series another opportunity to get its police simulation formula right.

The Next Shift Begins In 2026

With more roads to explore, multiple stations to unlock and everything from routine traffic stops to emergency pursuits on the schedule, Autobahn Police Simulator 4 looks ready to take the series in a bigger direction.

The game is coming to PC (hit up the Steam page), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026, with both digital and physical editions planned. Time to buckle up – the Autobahn police are heading back out on patrol.
