Forget piloting giant mechs with military precision. In Limbot, you’re trying to control a person wearing a giant cardboard robot costume, with up to four players each taking responsibility for making the oversized creation actually move.
As you might imagine, things rarely go according to plan.
One player wants to walk forward, another accidentally throws a punch, somebody else kicks a building by mistake, and before long your robot has fallen flat on its face. Naturally, it wasn’t your fault – it was definitely everyone else’s.
That’s the beauty of Limbot. Success feels rewarding, but failure is usually far more entertaining.
Turn A Cardboard City Into Confetti
The city itself is just as playful as the robot you’re attempting to steer.
Built entirely from paper and cardboard, the colourful world is designed to be flattened, punched, kicked and accidentally demolished as you stumble from one objective to the next. Skyscrapers collapse, enemies crumple into piles of paper, and oversized bosses provide even more opportunities for spectacular destruction. And of course, the more things go wrong, the funnier the results often become.
As you progress, you’ll unlock upgrades that are every bit as quirky as the rest of the game. Fancy attaching a fizzy drinks can to your robot’s leg for extra speed? Go ahead. Want to extend your punches with a pair of wooden spoons? Why not? You can even decorate your cardboard creation with stickers, creating a giant robot that’s as ridiculous as it is effective.
