Hot on the heels of a successful showing at GDC 2017, indie game developer bZillions have today brought the announcement of their latest adventure – a 2D platformer in the form of Little Hawk.
Set for release in Fall 2017, Little Hawk looks set to bring back the same level of excitement found in everyone’s favourite childhood games such as Rayman and the beloved Mario. Little Hawk will immerse players in an epic struggle to save their village and its many denizens all whilst rescuing the Chief’s daughter, restoring magical totems, and of course defeating the evil forces of the land in the process.
Each of the Sacred Totems of the land look to offer the player magical bonuses, with each of the gigantic bosses offering up an animal totem with a new ability attached.
Naturally two heroes are better than one, and Little Hawk will have players able to play as two with Little Hawk – an unlikely hero forged of street smarts, swagger and a big heart, and Kyra – the daughter of the Chief both playable and ready to help save the world.
“We wanted to recreate the excitement and personality of the games we love playing, like Mario and Rayman,” says Steve Weiss, CEO of bZillions. “In addition to the great characters, lush settings and awesome audio, we’ve added a few little tricks of our own that we think the players will really enjoy.”
Features include:
- Totem Superpowers: Earn sacred totems and gain their mystical powers! Defeat gigantic bosses in every land and collect their animal totems to power up with secret abilities!
- The Heroes: Two heroes are better than one! Play as both Little Hawk and Kyra to save the world!
- Choose your path: Play the worlds in any order as you journey towards the evil castle.
Those excited by the thought of a return to the beloved platforming of old will be able to jump into Little Hawk later this year, with an arrival set for PC first followed by Xbox One and PlayStation for shortly after.
