Little Hope to continue The Dark Pictures Anthology this summer

Remember the brilliance of Man of Medan? Well, it’ll soon be time for the second game in The Dark Pictures Anthology to arrive, and Little Hope is currently slated for a launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC this summer.

Summer 2020 may span a good few months, but that is when Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games will be releasing Little Hope to the world. Present on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Little Hope tells the tale of four college students and their professor who have been left abandoned, and alone. Trapped by a mysterious fog in the isolated eponym town, it is up to you to help them search desperately for a means of escape whilst visions from the town’s occult-steeped past haunt them from the shadows. In order to stay alive the group will need to uncover the mysteries behind these relentlessly-pursuing dark apparitions before evil forces drag each of their souls to hell!

Much like in Man of Medan, Little Hope has been created to allow multiple storylines, paths and endnings to be taken in, as players take the role of each of the five protagonists of this brand-new cast, one of them being represented by Will Poulter. Just remember – and again much like Man of Medan – each decision will matter and can have repercussions on who survives or meets their demise!

Further, The Curator, the omniscient figure voiced by Pip Torrens which overarches the series, will be back to witness the progress of players, giving an occasional “hint” if they wish to receive one. And as ou would expect, after the success of the Shared Story mode and the Movie Night mode, allowing multiple players to share their story online or offline, these will also return as game modes, alongside the standard Theatrical Cut and the Curator’s Cut, the latter of which will be available as a pre-order bonus.

“We’re really excited to talk more about Little Hope! As the second chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology, Little Hope is an all new and disturbing story for players to experience. Whether they are playing alone or with friends we can’t wait for players to get their hands on the Little Hope this summer”, said Pete Samuels, CEO Supermassive Games and Executive Producer of The Dark Pictures.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
