House Flipper was one of the surprise releases of 2020, but since that time it’s continued to gather up some acclaim and a bit of a cult status. If you’re one of those who loved what it delivered, allowing for players to flip houses into home, then you’re going to love the addition of the Luxury DLC, as it drops onto Xbox and PlayStation.

Previously available on PC and now making it on Xbox and PlayStation, the Luxury DLC for House Flipper was originally created as a minor little addition, one that would keep players entertained for just a little while. But then the devs went crazy, going overboard and turned it into something with months of development behind it, packing in a host of new mechanics, hundreds of items and more then ten new houses for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 players to flip.

It’s available on Xbox and PlayStation today, costing around $19.99 depending on where you are in the world. And if you pay up, you can be sure that the team at Frozen District do not want to disappoint.

“Some time ago, we promised to release the Luxury expansion for Xbox and PlayStation in the last quarter of 2022. With console releases, we usually have to put in an extra chunk of effort and spend some more time getting everything ready, but there it is, finally done! Thank you all for your patience. We are happy that console players can experience even better what House Flipper is all about” – says Maciej Knot, Frozen District CMO.

The Luxury DLC adds in a new region map, some unique jobs, extra items and more mechanics than ever before, as you take run-down houses and old industrial buildings – the likes of factories, commercial buildings and warehouses – before turning them into the most luxurious of apartments.

You’ll find smart devices front and centre too, letting you change the colour of your lighting systems, opening and closing doors with a touch and more.

In all, the House Flipper Luxury DLC on Xbox and PlayStation includes:

  • 12 new jobs with unique cutscenes
  • 12 luxurious houses
  • A brand new environment
  • An interactive map of the region (Moonrise Bay)
  • Vintage furniture renovation and creative quests mechanics
  • Door and window repositioning and placement
  • Indoor swimming pools
  • New items available in the shop

If you’ve got a copy of House Flipper to hand, then you just need to head to your favoured digital store to pick up the additional content. If you don’t have House Flipper, you’re missing out on something a bit addictive. Go and grab a copy of the game on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S from the Xbox Store. It’s on Game Pass as we write these words, so you’ve no excuse.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
