Tamarin xbox

November 2019 seems like a lifetime ago, but it was back then when we first heard of Tamarin. Now though, Chameleon Games have released their beautiful 3D adventure onto Xbox.

Previously available on PC and PlayStation, Tamarin finally launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, giving players the opportunity to take on the role of a titular little Tamarin as they head off into a huge interconnected 3D world – one that is full to the brim with platformaing opportunities and some serious shooting action.

Tamarin looks gorgeous, there are no two ways about it, and it’s that visual style that is sure to drag players in. But the premise itself, and the reasonings for Chameleon Games to have created such a game are just as significant. In fact, we sat down and had a chat with the founder of Chameleon as they spoke of how ex-Rare devs helped ensure Tamarin could thrive. It’s well worth you checking out our exclusive interview.

Once you have, we think you’ll be sold on the £24.99 price tag and the opportunity for you to utilise the Tamarin way of life to traverse the world ahead. You’ll be found chasing through forests, running through fjords and clambering the highest of mountains – all while trying to understand and unveil the hidden secrets of this land.

Do so and you’ll find the chance to rescue little birds, watch some dancing ants and restore the world of the Tamarin to the old glorious past.

We’re on the review of Tamarin on Xbox and will let you know how it plays out as soon as we can. Before that hits, grab yourself a copy by visiting the Xbox Store

Explore an incredible interconnected 3D world, brimming with primate platforming and bug-splattering shooter action. Leap with the agility of a tamarin as you journey into the Northern wilderness on scenic routes through forests, fjords and mountains. Along the way you will chase mysterious electrical fireflies, discover a secret underground world of dancing ants, rescue innocent birds, and restore the tamarins’ once idyllic natural habitat.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
