Ready to shoot ’em up like never before? Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute has released on Xbox.
Available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S right now, Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute brings an old school shmup classic kicking and screaming into the modern gaming scene.
Priced at £23.49, Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute sees the team at City Connection grab Taito’s Layer Section from 1995 and thrust it into the face of Xbox players here and now in 2022.
It sees you take charge of X-LAY, a weapons system that is intent on one thing – destruction. It’s with this that you’ll utilise the power of locked-on lasers in the hope that you can do battle with the Con-Human system in hope of aiding survival of humankind as we know it.
Shoot, shoot and shoot some more is the name of the game with Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute, yet as the title suggests, you’re getting more than just the bog-standard Layer Section. Yep, this one includes that of Galactic Attack too – the overseas release of Layer Section – to ensure that even when you think you’re done with the shmup action, things will continue onwards.
Back in the day, we wouldn’t have had the joys of quick saving, or a slow mode, or even the opportunity to rewind things in Layer Section. But with the release of Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute on Xbox, we now can, as well as being able to compare ourselves against others around the world via the online ranking mode.
There’s much going on with this release of Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute on Xbox and credit must go to City Connection for covering pretty much every base we could imagine. Whether or not it plays like that is up for debate though, but we’ll be sure to get some hands on in the days and weeks ahead, dropping a full review as we go.
Should you wish to pick up Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute for yourself, the Xbox Store should be the place to visit.
