2K and Hangar 13 decided to reveal the details of the quintessential 1960s track list of Mafia III, and it’s safe to say there are loads of cracking tunes included.
As Mafia III is going to be set in New Bordeaux during the year 1968, everything needs to be inspired by that era, such as the cars and fashion. It’d be a bit odd if the music wasn’t from the swinging 60s too, and so, players can enjoy a massive list of over 100 tracks featuring memorable music of the era.
We’ve picked out a few of the standouts below –
Aretha Franklin: “Respect”
Beach Boys: “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”
Big Brother & The Holding Company: “Piece of My Heart”
Bobby Fuller Four: “I Fought The Law”
Creedence Clearwater Revival: “Fortunate Son” – “Bad Moon Rising”
Dusty Springfield: “Son of a Preacher Man”
Eddie Floyd: “Knock on Wood”
Elvis: “A Little Less Conversation”
Four Tops: “Reach Out, I’ll Be There”
James Brown: “I Got You (I Feel Good)”
Johnny Cash: “Ring of Fire”
Otis Redding: “Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay”
Steppenwolf: “Born To Be Wild”
The Animals: “House of the Rising Sun”
The Miracles: “You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me”
The Rolling Stones: “Sympathy For The Devil”
The Supremes: “Baby Love”
Jesse Harlin and Jim Bonney have composed an original score too, and that will be featured during gunfights, cut scenes and other in-game moments. For the complete list, head on over to this link!
