Whether it’s the UK classic or the long-running American version, it’s The Office which has been the inspiration behind The Company Man – a game that will have you attempting to reach the top of the corporate ladder.
The Company Man is already available on Nintendo Switch, but now the office antics play out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 too, the development studio of Forust and their publishers Leoful give you the chance to prove yourself in the cut throat world of corporations.
It’s priced neatly and at £16.74 from the Xbox Store, this could well prove to be a bit of a steal. We’ll obviously let you know how it plays out in review – and our thoughts regarding The Company Man on Xbox Series X|S will be up and live soon – but that price is more than a tempter.
Should you decide to open the wallet and fall in, you’ll discover much in The Company Man. It places you in the shoes of Jim, a young upstart looking to make a name for himself at the Good Water Company. But things go wrong and it’s not long before Jim starts to think above his station, looking to takedown his bosses and become the CEO.
To do that you’ll need to prove yourself. Sending emails against your co-workers may be needed, or you may wish to spend a bit of time kicking around the coffee machine, working up the levels so you’re at your prime, ready to attack. But you’ll also need to show your platforming skills as you do so, helping Jim take on his tasks with gusto. Ultimately, this is a story about an ordinary man looking to make a name for themselves.

- BUFF UP WITH COFFEE BEANS – Spend the coins you earn from beating up your coworkers at the Coffee Shop, which offers a variety of health and stamina boosting coffee beans.
- LOOK OUT FOR SECRET GAUNTLET DUNGEONS – Challenge yourself in secret gauntlet dungeons where Jim is forced to fight wave after wave of coworkers. These dungeons aren’t easy to find, so keep a lookout for them!
- THERE’S A DIFFICULTY LEVEL FOR EVERYONE – Whether you’re a newbie or an expert, we got you covered with a wide range of difficulty levels from Normal to Impossible (Impossible is unlocked after beating the game).
With the move of The Company Man to Xbox and PlayStation, upgrades aplenty kick in. 4K resolution is supported on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 Pro, whilst the game runs at 120 FPS on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and 60 FPS on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 4 Pro.
