Marvel Cosmic Invasion DLC is now available

The superhero roster of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion just got even more explosive, as Dotemu and Tribute Games launch the first major DLC pack for the arcade-style brawler in the form of Cyclops & The Thing.

Available now across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, the Cyclops & The Thing expansion adds two iconic Marvel heroes to the cosmic fight against Annihilus.

Priced at £3.29, the new DLC introduces both X-Men leader Cyclops and Fantastic Four powerhouse The Thing as fully playable characters, each bringing distinct combat styles to the side-scrolling beat ‘em up.

At A Glance

  • MARVEL Cosmic Invasion – Cyclops & The Thing DLC is out now
  • Available on Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC
  • Adds Cyclops and The Thing as playable characters
  • Second major DLC update planned for later in 2026

Two Marvel Icons Join The Fight

The new DLC focuses on two fan-favourite heroes who bring very different strengths to the battlefield.

Cyclops arrives armed with his trademark optic blasts, capable of firing both horizontally and diagonally to tackle aerial enemies and crowd-control situations. His ranged precision should make him an ideal pick for players who prefer calculated attacks and spacing.

Meanwhile, The Thing brings exactly the kind of brute force you would expect from Marvel’s most famous rocky powerhouse. Designed as a grappling-heavy tank character, Ben Grimm thrives up close, smashing through enemies with heavy-hitting attacks while also showing surprising mobility.

Together, the pair add even more tactical possibilities to the game’s Cosmic Swap tag-team system.

Expanding The Cosmic Roster

The base game already featured a sizeable roster of Marvel heroes, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Storm, Captain America, Iron Man and Rocket Raccoon, but this latest DLC continues to deepen the comic-book crossover appeal.

And there’s more still to come. Dotemu and Tribute Games have confirmed a second premium DLC update later in 2026, which will introduce an entirely new game mode alongside additional playable characters.

Arcade Brawling With A Retro Heart

Built as a love letter to classic Marvel comics and arcade beat ‘em ups, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion has quickly carved out a loyal audience thanks to its vibrant pixel art, fast-paced action and drop-in multiplayer systems.

In our 4/5 review of the base game, we said: “With gorgeous sprite-based visuals, modernised 90s based mechanics, and a foundation of combat able to provide hours of entertainment, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion more than earns itself a place in the fighting genre.

For players already battling through the Annihilation Wave, this latest DLC feels like an easy recommendation. Pick up the Cyclops & The Thing DLC from your local storefront. We’ll point you the way of the Xbox Store.
