Match-3, film noir and seduction now available in Metropolis: Lux Obscura on Xbox One, Switch, PS4 and PS Vita

-

Sometimes You have been rocking up on the console market over recent months with a whole host of games from multiple genres. They’ve been dirt cheap too. Now though they are really pushing the boat out as Metropolis: Lux Obscura has arrived – and Sometimes You are found to be testing the waters in a variety of ways.

Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch, Metropolis: Lux Obscura comes with a £6.39 price tag attached. Whilst that is considered ‘expensive’ for a Sometimes You title (after all, the majority of their games have been available for just a few quid), it is still deemed fairly cheap in the wider scheme of things.

But what is Metropolis: Lux Obscura? Well, it’s a strange mix that pushes plenty of boundaries with a linear comic book style plot combined with Match-3 puzzle fights. While those two ideas aren’t ever going to be frowned upon, the inclusion of obscenity and sexism, scantily clad wanton women, dangerous secrets and more will ensure that Metopolis stands out from the crowd.

Whether you think that is for the right reasons or not isn’t up to us to decide, as all we’re bothered about is whether Lux Obscura is actually a decent game or not. You’ll be able to find out by checking out our upcoming review.

For now though, if you are after something hugely unique and don’t want to spend too much cash, then you should head to a digital store near you. Whether that be the Microsoft Store, the Nintendo eShop or the PlayStation Store is completely your call.

We know which one we’ll be checking out though.

Game Description:

Metropolis Lux Obscura is a unique game with a film noir atmosphere, seductive wanton women, and dirty dangerous secrets. Gameplay is based on a motion comic with a non-linear plot mixed with MATCH3 puzzle fights. This city is rotten to the core. You can’t even tell night from day in this hell where big money runs everything. And the best way to prove you’re right is with brute force. Jon Lockhart walked through the prison gates a free man, after spending years imprisoned as the supposed murderer of an old friend. He returned once more to the city where it all started intent on figuring out who it was that framed him for the murder and make them pay in blood for the crime. It’d take some work with the key witness dead, but that just meant he’d have to flush out every rat from hiding. Old friends and new enemies. Search for the truth, for loyalty and sanity – but all you can find here is redemption, betrayal and death. Welcome to Metropolis. – Beautiful comic art – Gorgeous, sexy girls – 12 mental disorders and bad habits to unlock – Amazing soundtrack and audio effects – Rich and dramatic story, professionally voice acted – An addicting match-3 puzzle battle system with upgradable traits – Obscenity and sexism – 4 different endings
