Are you in need of a new platformer? Want to learn more about some crazy Mekanimals? Mekazoo is for you!

Available as a $19.99 Xbox One digital download, Mekazoo is a 2D platformer set in a fully 3D world. With five Mekanimals to control, it is up to you to make your way through numerous levels, collecting medals, killing enemies and, if you should so wish, speedrunning to your hearts content.

With some super bright neon visuals and a simply stunning backing track that will earworm its way into your head forever more, Mekazoo delivers plenty of content for the price. However, there is in fact a bit of an issue in that Mekazoo is only showing up as a North American release, with the UK seemingly missing out. Now, we’ve been in touch with the team and they are adamant Mekazoo is arriving on our shores, so we will of course get this updated as soon as the Xbox Games Store updates.

If you want to get involved, make sure you head on over to the Xbox Games Store and grab it right now. If however you’d rather read more about Mekazoo first, then perhaps it’ll be a better call to hold off for our full review. It will be live very, very soon – perhaps even by the time you are reading this!

Game Description:

Mekazoo is a 2D platformer with vibrant, fully 3D worlds that can be explored and conquered with a kinetically diverse cast of animals either through a single player campaign or co-op multiplayer. Inspired by classic platformers, Mekazoo leverages those core elements to create a new, creative, unique and fun gameplay experience. Featuring a diverse cast of five playable characters each bestowing unique abilities — Armadillo, Frog, Wallaby, Pelican and Panda — Mekazoo tasks the player to seamlessly select the correct animal to overcome puzzling obstacles and daunting bosses.
