The New York International Auto Show is in full swing and today Microsoft and Porsche have used the event to announce a brand new partnership. Oh, and they’ve also announced that Forza Horizon 3 players will be seeing new cars dropping into their garage right about now!

First things first is the partnership between two of the world’s biggest names – Microsoft and Porsche. a Six year deal, running on a suite of initiatives for both Porsche and the Forza franchise, things kick off from today with the open registration for Porsche’s esports sponsorship debut in Forza Racing Championship Season 3: The Porsche Cup . As home to the largest online racing community in gaming, and the most inclusive racing esports program available, you can now register for The Porsche Cup – something which begins on May 1st.

Kicking off ForzaRC this year is the Forza Racing Championship 2017 New York Invitational Presented by Porsche on April 15-16 at Microsoft’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue, showcasing 18 of ForzaRC’s Elite players from around the world competing for a chance to win $25,000 in cash prizes, plus a Drift competition between two of ForzaRC’s top drifters. Guests will also have a chance to race ForzaRC Elite drivers and even Porsche professional driver Matt Campbell on April 15. We also invite fans to join us from home by tuning into the Beam livestream, Twitch and YouTube, featuring a guest appearance by Campbell.

But the Invitational is just the beginning as following it, Season 3 players can participate in two different competitions in Forza Motorsport 6 for Elite drivers and Forza Horizon 3 for casual players. You will get to race in a wide variety of Porsche models, all over four weeks of intense competition which will then culminate in a finals event at a special location, where winners will take home $100,000 in cash prizes.
