SubwaySim 2 – out now!

All aboard for an incredibly detailed journey through the German underground in SubwaySim 2.

SubwaySim 2, the latest state-of-the-art public transport simulation from developer Simuverse Interactive and publisher Aerosoft, has arrived.

Available right now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Steam), this title invites you into the driver’s cabin of iconic subway systems.

Priced at ÂŁ33.49, SubwaySim 2 offers an unparalleled standard of realism, meticulously recreating routes, stations, and vehicles from two of Germany’s most vibrant cities, all powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Explore Berlin and Hamburg’s Iconic Lines

SubwaySim 2 immerses you in the bustling underground (and overground) networks of Berlin and Hamburg:

  • Berlin U1/U3: Navigate 30km of track across 26 unique stations on these famous lines, taking in sights like the iconic Oberbaum Bridge. Drive the classic A3L vehicle (in its A3L92 edition) or the more modern HK electric multiple unit.
  • Hamburg U3: Explore 20.7km and 25 accurately recreated stations along Hamburg’s scenic ring line, passing landmarks like the Elbphilharmonie and LandungsbrĂĽcken. Take control of the detailed DT5 train (available in two versions).

Across both cities, you’ll experience 41 kilometers of lovingly recreated track and 51 detailed stations filled with interactive passengers.

Master Diverse Gameplay Modes

Whether you crave structured challenges or freeform exploration, SubwaySim 2 has a mode for you:

  • Career Mode: Experience the day-to-day life of a subway operator, dealing with realistic transport issues like delays, red signals, breakdowns, and dynamic weather.
  • Timetable Mode: Follow the real operational schedules of the subway lines, ensuring passengers get where they need to go safely and on time.
  • Sandbox Mode: Enjoy complete flexibility. Drive different trains, explore station to station, run without passengers – the choice is yours.
  • Scenario Mode: Tackle specific, challenging situations designed to test your skills.

Unreal Realism and Immersion

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, SubwaySim 2 boasts impressive graphical fidelity, a step up from its predecessor (SubwaySim Hamburg).

Particular attention has been paid to the three playable vehicles – the DT5, HK, and A3L92 – featuring highly detailed models, authentic soundscapes, and realistic controls. Functional depots, bustling city environments with AI traffic (trains and cars), and dynamic passenger behaviour further enhance the immersion.

If you’re familiar with the likes of Train Sim World or Metro Simulator, you should be right at home with SubwaySim 2.

Key Features

  • Three Authentic German Subway Lines: Berlin U1/U3 and Hamburg U3.
  • 41km Track & 51 Detailed Stations: Meticulously recreated environments.
  • Three Realistic Vehicles: Drive the DT5, HK, and A3L92 with authentic sounds/controls.
  • Multiple Game Modes: Career, Timetable, Sandbox, and Scenario.
  • Unreal Engine 5 Power: Impressive graphics and enhanced realism.
  • Dynamic World: Experience changing weather, disruptions, and passenger dynamics.
  • Immersive Details: Functional depots, AI traffic, iconic city sights.
