If we’re honest we weren’t really sure how Minecraft Dungeons would play out when it released back in May of 2020, yet we were pleasantly surprised to find it delivering a good fun time, especially when played with friends. Since release though it’s a game that has continued to evolve, with multiple DLC packs adding in a host of content. And that’s what we’re getting again today with the new Minecraft Dungeons: Hidden Depths DLC as players get the opportunity to enjoy new missions, additional gear and a little baby turtle pet.
If the latter hasn’t already sold a purchase of Hidden Depths, then let the rest of the DLC pack tempt you in. Priced at a mere £4.99 or automagically added for those who have previously purchased the Season Pass, Hidden Depths builds on what was delivered through the Howling Peaks and Flames of the Nether DLC to give players the chance to head under the waves with three new underwater missions, a plethora of new mobs and enemies, brand spanking new weapons, gear and artefacts, a couple of additional skins and the chance to drag a little baby turtle along for the ride.
There’s a ton of content included in all and so if you’re looking for another reason to head down into the dungeons of Minecraft, it’s the Hidden Depths pack that should be of interest. If you do so, expect to battle against legions of sunken and drowned enemies as you hunt down new treasures and loot. but with freeflowing tides and dangers of the deep to consider, it certainly won’t be an easy ride.
You’ll need a copy of Minecraft Dungeons to hand before you go picking up the new Hidden Depths pack from the Xbox Store for Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. From then though, you’re pretty much sorted. And remember, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can not only save 10% on the DLC asking price, but will find the full base game freely available to play.
