Inspired by Arabian Nights and a smattering of science fiction, Mirage 7 is unveiled for Xbox, PlayStation and PC. This looks to be a narrative-driven action-adventure you’ll want to get on your radar.
From Drakkar Dev and Blowfish Studios (a combo who have previously come together for Blackwind), Mirage 7 has been revealed for an upcoming launch on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’ll also land on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, through a mix of Steam, Epic and GOG.
Coming soon (that’s about all we’re getting in terms of a release date), Mirage 7 will see you embark on a bit of a desperate quest. It follows Nadira, an intrepid adventurer who is seeking the impossible from the lost Princess Taishma – to bring her sister back from the dead.
What is Mirage 7?
What plays out from there is an adventure which will take you through an alluring, dangerous world. It’s this place which will be filled with challenging environmental puzzles, dastardly dangerous enemies, and – importantly – a deeply captivating narrative.
Inspired by stuff like Arabian Nights and science fiction, traverse the deserts and you’ll be found slaying giant insects, ghastly ghouls, and daunting abominations, making the most of Nadira’s trusty dagger and precise slingshot.
But you’ll also get to enlist the problem-solving prowess of Jiji. This is Nadira’s clever lizard companion, capable of helping decipher cryptic puzzles while you go collecting precious items to craft lethal new tools. You’ll also get to customise a desirable experience with three different combat difficulties and puzzle assistance options.
Plenty of adventure
Throughout Mirage 7 you’ll get to explore forgotten temples and underground oases on the journey to the legendary Palace of the Moon. And also at the fore will be encounters with mysterious characters, as you look to earn their trust, hopefully.
But how will you know if the enigmatic overseer Vizier (voiced by Dying Light 2 and Chernobylite’s Andy Mack) is trustworthy? What are the Witch of Jala’s true intentions? Unravel each thread in a twisting tale of struggle, loss, deceit, and betrayal.
“Mirage 7 offers an unforgettable story with dynamic, narrative-driven gameplay,” said Manlio Greco, founder, Drakkar Dev. “We’ve crafted a game where daring explorers can truly immerse themselves in the world and experience a narrative that will keep them on their toes until the very end!”
Coming soon to PC and console
Mirage 7 will look to deliver majesty and wonder (them’s the devs words!) to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4 and PC and Mac via Steam, Epic Game Store and GOG soon.
Trailer time for now…
