39 days to mars xbox one

Ever wanted to know what it was like to consider space travel in the 19th century? 39 Days to Mars will take you through that exact situation, and it is available right now on Xbox One.

Priced up with a £12.49 price tag attached, 39 Days to Mars on Xbox One takes you through either a solo or cooperative experience that puts us in the shoes of two noble 19th century explorers – Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter – as they take the HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage. To Mars.

The problem is, this ship isn’t really fit for purpose and it quickly becomes clear that multiple issues are going to stop the pair from their quest. By working with a friend, you’ll need to solve the puzzles in place, by being drawn into the world of Albert and Baxter to ensure everything goes right.

If you don’t have a friend to hand then it’s not the end of you being able to spend time with 39 Days to Mars, as the ship’s computer controlled moggy will become your faithful assistant. Whether you find an AI controlled feline as good a help as your best mate is not is however up for debate.

39 Days to Mars has previously released on PC (Steam) and will be arriving on Nintendo Switch soon. For now though it’s all about the Xbox One release and right now you can grab the game from the Xbox Store. If you wish to know more about it before splashing the cash on this adventure which will probably only last a rainy afternoon, then make sure you check out our full review.

Game Description:

39 Days to Mars is a co-operative (and single-player) steampunk puzzle-adventure game. Step into the shoes of Sir Albert Wickes and The Right Honourable Clarence Baxter, two 19th century explorers who have chosen to pilot the HMS Fearful on its maiden voyage to Mars. When the steam engine runs out of coal, the ship’s cat shreds the navigation chart, and the tea gets cold, it becomes clear that interstellar transportation isn’t a walk in the park. It will take the talents of two players working together on the problems that arise to get to Mars in one piece. LOCAL CO-OP 39 Days to Mars is a two player co-operative game. The HMS Fearful is a masterpiece of unreliable engineering, therefore Albert and Baxter will need all the help they can get. Nothing can be done without the effort of both players, who have important roles to play in the adventure. SINGLEPLAYER AI For the solo voyager, the ship’s computer-controlled cat will keep you company. Without a second pair of hands, Albert will need an extra dose of dexterity to navigate the challenges of Victorian space flight. BITE-SIZED ADVENTURES The mix of action and thoughtful puzzles make it perfect for playing in short sessions. The entire adventure fits comfortably into an evening, or a long tea break. ATMOSPHERIC Be drawn into the world of Albert and Baxter by the unique illustrated artwork. 39 Days to Mars has a rich sound-scape and a beautiful piano score that is punctuated only by the occasional disaster. The HMS Fearful is ready to embark for Mars!
