It’s pretty fair to say that the Supercross scene is a bit of a niche one, but that doesn’t stop Milestone Studios from pushing a new Monster Energy Supercross title out each and every year. That’ll be the case in 2023 too, as Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 has been announced. There’s a fully confirmed release date behind it too!

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC (Windows and Steam) come March 9th 2023, as Milestone and Feld Entertainment look to build on a series that has already gone some way to fulfilling the dreams of supercross fans.

It was with Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 5 where success was last found, but in Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 there is promise of new game modes, a revised AI, new physics and settings as the game delivers the most approachable option yet.

It’s got some big names behind it too, as seven-time Supercross champion, Jeremy McGrath, gets set to coach players through a renewed career mode featuring official riders and tracks. From the search for the first sponsors in the 250SX Futures Class to dueling 450SX Class Championship rivals, it’ll be up to you to go about climbing the ladder from beginner to pro in the most realistic and interactive way.

It’s the Supercross Academy where all this will start and in Monster Energy Supercross 6 you’ll discover a wide variety of tutorials and challenges, helping you get up to speed with what is required of a Supercross champion. Yet expert players will be able to unlock their full potential, utilising several new tools and settings which allow complete customisation of the riding aids (e.g. auto steering, auto brakes, auto throttle, etc.) and bike set-ups, to get ready for the most competitive off-road motorcycle racing championship on the planet.

There will be a skill tree too, giving players the chance to personalise their riders’ abilities and design their very own riding style that best suits the players ability. Moreover, mental and physical health will play a major role in the improved Rider Shape System. Recovering from injuries and poor performances will be key to keeping riders in peak condition and achieving the best results.

Need more? Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 also features the Supercross Park, a massive free-roaming environment with five different areas to discover solo or with friends. Here, players can take a break from the pressure of the competition, recover from injuries, and train under the guidance of coach McGrath.

This is a game which will also allow for you to simply go and enjoy your bikes, riding across original tracks, huge jumps, and lots of hidden zones that are waiting to be explored. Pure fun seekers will also love the Rhythm Attack, a new head-to-head mode allowing players to compete in quick 1v1 shootout races on a straight rhythm section where skills and speed are the name of the game. Also, to decide who the king of the couch really is, split-screen mode is back, igniting the local competition with friends.

And there will be multiplayer options too as two new additions will enhance the competition: full cross-play will enable online matchmaking across every console system, while a new ranking system will constantly track online accomplishments pushing players to go beyond their limits to get to the top.

Finally, Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 will allow players to fully unleash their creativity and customise their own personal journey in the Supercross world. Choosing from a wide range of design options, with the helmet and track editors, riders can express their style and share their creations online and cross-platform.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 will be available from March 9th 2023, no matter whether you are gaming on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows PC or Steam.

Will you be grabbing the leathers and helmet once more?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
