The shop is open, the dungeons are calling and Will has another mountain of loot to turn into profit. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has now officially launched, bringing Digital Sun’s merchant-and-adventurer sequel to Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, with the game also joining Game Pass on Xbox and PC.
Following its Early Access journey, Moonlighter 2 has now reached its full 1.0 release with the story of Will and the village of Tresna brought to its conclusion.
There is plenty more waiting beyond that too, with new combat options, an expanded shop and tougher challenges giving returning players plenty of reasons to head back into the dungeon.

From Shopkeeper to Dungeon Delver
If you played the original Moonlighter, you’ll already know the appeal of Will’s rather unusual working life. One moment he’s behind the counter trying to make a decent deal, and the next he’s risking everything in a dangerous dungeon in search of something worth selling.
That same cycle remains at the heart of Moonlighter 2, but the sequel expands it considerably. Will finds himself stranded in Tresna without a coin to his name, leaving him with little choice but to rebuild his business while investigating the strange interdimensional adventure that has landed him there.
Dungeons provide the raw materials for success. You can battle through dangerous environments, collect relics and decide what is worth carrying home, before arranging your haul in your backpack and putting it up for sale. The better you understand what customers want, the more money you can make – and the more you can put back into your shop and the wider town.
The Endless Vault Gets Even Bigger
The launch version adds plenty for players who have followed the game through Early Access.
The main campaign now reaches its conclusion, while new weapons, armour and the Bomb Path add further options when it comes to dealing with the enemies standing between Will and his next big payday. The Bomb Path lets attacks eventually cause enemies to explode, with the resulting damage potentially catching nearby foes too.
Will’s shop can also reach its final level, bringing additional Bloblet slots, cosmetic options and more opportunities to make Tresna feel like home.
Then there’s the Endless Vault itself. Once you’ve made your way through the main adventure, the Infinite Endless Vault offers a more demanding post-game experience built around increasingly difficult runs and valuable rewards. It’s aimed squarely at players who aren’t quite ready to put their backpack down yet.
For those who really want to suffer for their success, Hardcore mode takes things considerably further. Falling in the dungeon means starting again from the beginning, turning every expedition into a much bigger gamble.
A Bigger Adventure for Moonlighter Fans
The sequel also represents a considerable visual step forward, moving Moonlighter’s distinctive world into 3D while retaining the combination of dungeon exploration and shop management that made the original stand out.
That familiar rhythm remains the big draw. Venture out, decide how much loot you can safely bring back, return to town and attempt to turn your latest haul into enough money to fund the next expedition. Then do it all again, only a little stronger and hopefully a little richer.
For anyone who has been waiting for Moonlighter 2 to leave Early Access, the wait is now over. And with the full campaign, expanded systems, post-game challenges and Game Pass availability on Xbox and PC, there’s never been a better excuse to see whether Will can finally turn his dangerous hobby into a successful business.
