Moonlighter 2 The Endless Vault – coming in 2025

It’ll soon be time to take on another thrilling journey that blends dungeon-crawling action with the art of shopkeeping in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.

Digital Sun, the creators of the acclaimed Moonlighter, and publisher 11 bit studios are delighted to announce Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, a sequel that promises to expand upon the beloved formula of its predecessor.

A Merchant’s Quest for Riches and Return

As fans will recall from our review of the original Moonlighter, the game offered a “truly enjoyable experience” that combined “addictive” shopkeeping with “fresh and fun” dungeon-crawling.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault builds upon this foundation, reintroducing Will, the hero merchant, as he embarks on a new adventure filled with perilous dungeons, valuable treasures, and the challenges of running a successful shop.

Stranded in a Mysterious Dimension

This time, Will finds himself stranded in the village of Tresna, located within a mysterious dimension. Determined to restore the village to its former glory and revitalize his shop, Will also discovers a tantalizing opportunity to return home with the help of a curious relic collector.

Features That Will Make You Want to Moonlight

  • Village Restoration: Invest in the development of Tresna, supporting local businesses, upgrading your gear, and unlocking new opportunities to help the village thrive.
  • Dungeon Delving: Explore treacherous vaults filled with valuable loot and dangerous enemies. Master your combat skills and utilise a variety of weapons to overcome the challenges and emerge victorious.
  • Shopkeeping Mastery: Turn your hard-earned loot into profit by running your own shop. Charm customers, haggle prices, and customise your shop to attract eager buyers.

A Deeper Dive into the Moonlighter Universe

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault promises to expand upon the captivating world and gameplay mechanics of its predecessor. With its focus on both dungeon-crawling and shopkeeping, the game offers a unique blend of action, strategy, and adventure.

Developer Quote

The original Moonlighter was a pivotal moment for us, marking the growth of Digital Sun as a team,” said Javier Gimenez, Digital Sun CEO. “Five years on, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault showcases everything we’ve learned along the way. We’re channeling all our craftsmanship into creating a game that’s not just better, but brimming with even more charm in every detail.

A New Adventure Awaits

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is set to launch in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. With its captivating blend of genres, charming visuals, and engaging gameplay, this sequel is poised to be another indie gem from Digital Sun.
