Want to follow the life of Will, humble shopkeeper by day and manic adventurer by night? You’ll soon be able to do just that when Moonlighter hits our lives.
Announced today for an Xbox One, PS4 and PC release come 29th May 2018, Moonlighter is an action-RPG from the teams at Digital Sun, 11 bit studios and Merge Games, giving you the opportunity to step into young Will’s shoes.
Releasing digitally alongside a retail drop that sees the game arrive in both standard edition and limited Signature Edition form, Moonlighter takes us back to a time from many years ago when a set of magical Gates were discovered during an archaeological excavation. With many quickly realising that these ancient passages led to different realms and dimensions – providing brave and reckless adventurers with treasures beyond measure – Will decided to head off on an adventure full of dreams.
Rynoka, a small commercial village, was founded near the excavation site providing refuge and a place for adventurers to sell their hard-earned riches and it is here where Moonlighter and its rogue-lite elements begins to follow Rynoka’s most ambitious shopkeeper.
Should you wish to go old school and head off out in search of the limited edition of Moonlighter, then you’ll no doubt stumble upon something containing a double-sided Medallion from the game, a glossy artwork poster and a squishy Jelly-Monster that you can repeatedly squeeze while thinking about how to economically outsmart other merchants in the village of Rynoka.
A $19.99 USD digital price tag should ensure that Will’s adventures are taken in by many.
Keep an eye out for the game as the end of May approaches.
