Following the original Feed Your Cat, which made its way to Xbox in 2024, New Paths keeps the basic idea wonderfully simple while giving players 60 new levels to work through. The result is a game that looks like it should be effortless, but may have you staring at a collection of nodes for rather longer than expected.

Getting From A To Cat
Your character has the food, the kitten wants the food, and you need to work out how to get from one to the other. What could be more simple?
Each puzzle is made up of a graph of nodes, with players drawing a path through them to create the route. That might sound simple enough, and the early levels will no doubt be pretty gentle on the brain, but we’d not be surprised if the game gradually asks more of your planning and sense of direction.
Thankfully, there isn’t any need to rush. You can take your time, consider the available routes and figure out the solution before making your move.
And New Paths includes a tutorial that introduces its mechanics step by step before opening up the wider selection of puzzles. From there, the challenges build towards a final test designed to give those who have stuck with it something a little trickier to chew on.
