In MotoGP 20 nobody wins alone. And with the unveiling of the brand new Managerial Career, once more Milestone looks set to be right on the money in terms of what the upcoming MotoGP 20 will be providing for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia players.

For years it has been Milestone who have been at the top of the racing game, particularly in terms of the motorcycling scene with the likes of MotoGP 19 and Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 3 providing more than decent options. With MotoGP 20 due to launch on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia come 23rd April, once more it is looking likely that this will be one of the best racing games of the year. Even more so now that the brand spanking new Managerial Career has been detailed.

MotoGP 20 will ensure that players begin to understand the importance of having a good team behind them, and the new Career Mode will put us slap bang into a pro riders’ boots, promising to deliver an engaging and progressive gaming experience both on and off the track. You see, just like in the real MotoGP world, being fast is not enough and it’ll be up to you to take the best decisions to find a winning strategy to master the Championship.

Echoing that of the real life world, one of the key figures at the top of the team is the personal manager, whose work can truly make a difference when it comes to sponsorship and contract opportunities. In MotoGP 20 you will need to evaluate all the offers you receive, both from real-life teams and new teams created by yourself, looking carefully at the finest details before making a decision.

For instance, if you decide to create a new team, will be able to make your rider and bike stand out using different graphic editors to modify the helmet, racing number, lower-back patch, stickers and bike livery. And this is where the personal manager’s skills come into play as they are tasked to try and craft a stronger team, or negotiate a better salary, following your own intentions.

Further to that and you’ll also have a bevy of technical staff to fall back on; staff who influence the performance of the bike. You see, it’ll only be the most skilled technicians who are able to develop the bikes to be better and faster, but then, those guys will be more expensive to hire. Only by partaking in on-track tests during the weekend will you be able to provide valuable data for development, allowing the engineers to determine the best route to take.

Winter testing will also play a part, as you start to develop the bike prior to the season. With multiple different packs containing various engines and frame combinations it’ll be a cinch to find the perfect settings for the season, allowing you a decent base to then further improve performances of different bike parts as the season progresses. Aerodynamics, electronics, engine power and fuel consumption are just an example of the many technical parts you’ll now be able to manage.

That’s not all though and Milestone are also now promising new features that will support the game after launch, expanding the new Managerial Career gameplay even further. We’ve been promised more details about these features soon. We’ll be sure to bring you them as and when they drop.

For now though, make sure you take in the latest trailer below. And then hold tight for the madness of MotoGP 20 on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia come 23rd April. Those in the United States who wish to play on Switch will need to wait till the 5th May.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
