Engines are revving once again as MotoGP 26 hits the grid on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC (with Play Anywhere support) for £59.99. This year’s entry from Milestone is not just another lap around the circuit either. It is aiming for a more dynamic, more reactive take on the official championship.
And if first impressions hold, this one is all about control, consequence and carving out your own racing story.

A Championship That Evolves With You
MotoGP 26 leans heavily into authenticity, bringing the full 2026 season with official riders, teams, bikes and tracks. But the headline addition is how the sport now evolves alongside you.
Rider ratings are no longer fixed. Instead, they shift based on real-world results, meaning performance in-game reflects what is happening across the actual championship. It adds a layer of unpredictability that keeps each season feeling alive.
And the biggest change on track comes through the revamped physics system.
A new rider-based handling model puts more emphasis on body positioning, meaning how you lean, shift and balance the bike plays a bigger role than ever before. It is a subtle change on paper, but one that should be immediately noticeable once you hit the corners at speed.
If that sounds a bit intimidating, there is flexibility built in. The Arcade Experience offers a more forgiving ride, while the Pro Experience leans fully into simulation for those chasing precision.
Career Mode Gets Even Deeper
Career mode continues to be a major focus, and MotoGP 26 builds on previous years with more layers to dig into.
You can create your own rider or step into the boots of an official star, working your way from rookie hopeful to championship contender. Along the way, contract negotiations, team relationships and even your responses in press conferences shape how your journey unfolds. It is not just about what you do on track anymore. What you say off it matters too.
There is more to do than just race weekends. MotoGP 26 introduces additional disciplines like Motard, Flat Track and Minibikes, offering different ways to hone your skills. Production Bikes also make an appearance, giving you a break from the intensity of full MotoGP machinery while still keeping things competitive.
Online Racing And Customisation
For those who prefer human competition, online modes support cross-play and full grids of up to 22 riders.
Customisation also plays a bigger role, with advanced editors allowing you to tweak your look and share creations. If you want to stand out in the pack, this is your chance.
There are also a couple of small DLC packs available at launch, including the HJC Helmet Pack and Scorpion Helmet Pack, both priced at 79p, adding extra flair to your rider.
Building On A Strong Foundation
We did not get hands-on with last year’s entry of MotoGP 25, but our review of MotoGP 24 scored a solid 4/5, praising it as: “The best way to get involved virtually… with features other racing sims should take inspiration from.”
There is always a fine balance with yearly sports releases. Change too much and you lose what works. Change too little and things feel stale. MotoGP 26 seems to be threading that line carefully, adding meaningful tweaks where it counts while keeping the heart of the series intact. For fans of two-wheeled racing, that might be exactly what you want.
