Battling away with MultiVersus? It’s time for Season 2 to come to the fore as we go Back in Time with the addition of a Ranked Mode, Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice.
MultiVersus launched for real just a couple of months ago, after a pretty lengthy Early Access period. But now it is out in full, Warner Bros. Games are going all-in, pushing forth with Season 2: Back in Time, today. That sees the introduction of the Ranked Mode, as well as a couple of new characters landing in the roster.
Season 2 is go!
MultiVersus will be adding Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice to its growing roster of characters as part of Season 2: Back in Time. From the Cartoon Network and Adult Swim action-adventure animated series of the same name, the katana wielding Samurai Jack will be available today, as Season 2 of MultiVersus kicks off.
Further to that, the troublesome ghost Beetlejuice (a.k.a. Betelgeuse) will arrive later in the season, in the build up to the upcoming Warner Bros. Pictures film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice sequel to Beetlejuice (1988). That will be hitting theaters on Sept 6th in North America and beginning Sept 4th internationally.
Swipe with Samurai Jack
After being flung into the future by the evil demon Aku, the warrior known as Samurai Jack embarked on a relentless quest to return to the past.
With his unmatched swordsmanship and incredible agility, he’s truly a force to be reckoned with, and in the new MultiVersus gameplay trailer, Samurai Jack’s fighting skills as a Bruiser class character are on full display, which utilize his mystical katana blade, agile footwork, and quick reflexes to send opponents flying off the map.
The video below provides a first look at the Righteous Warrior Jack character variant, which will be available for in-game purchase.
Rank it up!
Additionally, Ranked mode comes to MultiVersus. This will give players the opportunity to participate in 1 vs. 1 and 2 vs. 2 matches while competing for leaderboard points to earn exclusive rank-based cosmetic rewards.
Season 2 will also include the Water Tower, a new map where players can battle on the iconic Warner Bros. Water Tower, with surprise nods to popular Warner Bros. Discovery characters and franchises.
