Music Drive
Music Drive – out today on console

Music is the most valuable asset in the world, and in the world of Music Drive: Chase the Beat, it’s just been stolen.

This unique rhythm-action game, which combines high-octane driving and shooting with a hard-hitting urban soundtrack, launches today.

From developer Salve Game Studio and publisher QUByte Interactive, Music Drive is available today on Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch!

Prepare to play as the dynamic duo of Tina & Tunner, a getaway driver and a sharpshooter on a mission to recover stolen unreleased tracks and save the art that moves the world.

The Beat Has Been Stolen!

In the world of Music Drive, hard drives filled with priceless, unreleased music tracks have been stolen by a ruthless gang that wants to monopolise the charts. It’s up to you to get them back.

You’ll play as Tina, the sharpest getaway driver in the hood, and Tunner, a cold-blooded shooter with perfect aim. Together, this couple must use their unique talents in a race against time.

Music Drive: Chase the Beat is an intense, action-packed experience where every chase, every sharp turn, and every explosion pulses with the rhythm of the music. You’ll need to master both driving and shooting as you tear through the streets in high-octane missions to recover stolen cassette tapes.

Dynamic and Unpredictable Chases

This won’t be an easy ride. Developer Guilherme Candido, who spent four years building the game independently, emphasises the dynamic chase system: “no predictable patterns. Enemies surround you, work together, and make every match feel unique.

Real Music, Real Voices, Real Soul

To kick things off, the launch soundtrack is signed by none other than Brazilian rapper NP Vocal – straight from the favela to the world. His tracks provide the powerful, authentic energy for the entire game.

Seeing my music in a game that’s going worldwide is a dream come true. It’s about bringing the favela to new places,” says NP Vocal, whose lyrics carry the heart of the streets.

Street Culture in the Driver’s Seat

The game’s very origins are steeped in authenticity. “We met at Perifacon, an event that brings together games, rap, and comics. Now we’re coming back this year to launch the game,” says Alexandre De Maio, director at Salve Games. Candido, who grew up in the outskirts of São Paulo, adds, “one of my priorities was making a lightweight and accessible game.

Beyond the launch, Music Drive is set to become a platform for discovering fresh urban music. The game will expand with updates featuring new tracks from a variety of up-and-coming artists, letting you hear new music before anyone else while tearing through the streets at full speed.

It’s time to save the music!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
